Midsummer-Remise 2018, 23. June 2018, from 3 p.m.
In Mitsuko Castle, we invite visitors to guided tours of the castle and the German-Japanese grove between 3 and 10 p.m. as well as to a small tea ceremony with stimulating matcha, a Japanese tea specialty from the famous Uji growing area near Kyoto.
In the stone oven under the lime tree in the grove, Okonomi Yaki, a Japanese snack from the hot tin, is prepared for our guests from 4 p.m.
At 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., visitors can experience the sound performance of the Japanese sound artist and composer Miki Yui, who is currently presenting her new album "Mills" (in Düsseldorf, Cologne, Rotterdam, Birmingham, London).
Detlef Weinrich wrote about her new album "Mills" (The Mills of Life): "Anything that is exaggerated does not matter. (…) Things speak to each other and to each other in a cautious but powerful way. It is almost as if you hear the leaves talking with the wind, the flowers with the bees and the bees with the sun. It proves and asserts what we all should be aware of, yet so often ignored: everything is connected and miraculously dependent on each other. This whole thing."
